Hello to anyone still looking around this dusty old page. The years have flown by and Jerry Engel is rarely on my mind. Things are great and I moved back to my hometown several years ago. At first, I promised myself that if I ever saw Jerry, I’d run over him without a second thought. I figure I’d end up on an episode of Snapped or Dateline and I wouldn’t care.
Life has a way of changing things. The years go by, my daughters started families of their own and gave me 3 amazing grandchildren. I celebrated another anniversary with my loving husband, and have rebuilt my life from the bottom up. It took many years to finally get rid of his name from my credit. He continued trying to open accounts in my name for at least 2 years. I wouldn’t change a single thing and I know that sounds crazy. But if he hadn’t screwed me over, I’d have never taken that job in WV and would never have met my husband. He introduced my girls to their future husbands, younger guys he worked with. I wouldn’t have my grandkids and let me tell you, nothing is more important than they are. So, maybe there is a master plan and things happen for a reason.
Tonight I revisited the site for the first time in over a decade. It averages 100 visits a week. I was shocked. I came here to delete it and finally close that chapter in my life.
Instead, I felt some of the betrayal and pain from the old me. I don’t want anyone to ever feel that again. I need to leave it here, there may be someone I can save from this pathetic sociopath. You never know.
Thank you for the support thru it all. Karma finally got him and he’s been laying low since he got out of prison. Every now and then I get an update on him. I have not and will not speak to him but I have forgiven him, however I will never forget.
take care, this is the last you’ll hear from me. Be kind and treat others how you want to be treated. Know that karma does come around. Sometimes it just takes a while. For all the Firefighters and First Responders, stay safe, your community needs you.

The best quote EVER!
He is a self-serving collaborationist of the highest order. He is to such a degree, a quisling, that from henseforth, any use of the name Benedict Arnold shall be supplanted with Jerry Engle. PS- Ever notice how he is shown with his back to us in the cover photo of his book of lies...so many parallels to his real character.
The TURNCOAT (Mayor) of Kentland
We should all be so lucky to have met this individual at some point in our lives. Jerry Engle is a true hero. He gives of himself to childrens charities, brought 2 beautiful girls into this world (10 year old twins), pays his child support, is kind and considerate to everyone that crosses his path. He has served selfishly at several departments in the state of Maryland. How blessed they were to have such a skilled driver of their expensive equipment that he races to the scenes of fire and accidents all over. Not only can Fire God Engle put out the fire, but he saves lives too! Did I mention he is also a hardworking man who has authored a book and donates all the proceeds to charity. And yes, he was injured in the line of duty on 9/11 at the Pentigon. Oh what a true hero we have in our midst. We are not worthy my friends.
The Truth Hurtz
I'm so sorry. Did I have you fooled? Yeah, that happens everywhere Mr. Engle has been. You see, he leaves a path of destruction behind him. Don't take my word for it. He's never held a full time job for more than 3-4 weeks, he's never paid child support, was even arrested for it in Oct 2007, has 3, yes THREE peace orders against him, he donated to St. Judes ONCE, he went to visit a sick child in the hospital... ONCE. He hasn't donated a single penny from the sale of his book to anyone but himself, and he was NOT injured on 9/11. Sit back, relax and have a peek around the website. You'll find stories and information to back it all up. Please bookmark the site and come back often, it will take a few days to get things scanned and uploaded and this website is a tad cumbersome and limited in it's Elements. But given the time, I'll get it going. Nothing but a Judge will cause me to remove it.
UPDATE - out of respect for the Fire Department that did NOT authorize Mr. Engle to wear their uniform on the television interview and the fact that he lied regarding what the interview was about, I have blacked out the patch on his sleeve. The photo is just too damn priceless to remove.
Defamation and the Internet
I was a tad concerned when someone emailed me and asked that I be careful about Defamation. So I did a little research and found the following information at www.ibls.com which is an Internet Law News portal.
A recent case showed how powerful Defamation laws, applied online, can be. In November 2006, a Florida woman, Sue Scheff, was awarded $11.3 million in damages in Broward County Circuit Court, in one of the biggest awards ever tolled. The suit was filed for Internet defamation, and the jury found a Louisiana woman had posted caustic messages against the Scheff and her company, claiming she was a "con artist" and "fraud". The jury found the charges were completely false, so the Louisiana woman had no defense. Interestingly, Scheff's attorney had offered to settle the case for $35,000 before it went before the jury.
I don't think I'll have a problem considering there is nothing false, nothing fabricated, and I most certainly have a defense. Drop me an email and let me know what you think.
